The housing stock is mostly frame homes from roughly 1900 to 1950, one and one-and-a-half storeys, on narrow lots with detached garages set back off the alley. Detached garages are a recurring one, since plenty of them are eighty years old and past saving, and a small garage tear-down fills more container than anyone expects once the roof goes in. Spring brings yard and brush loads off the older lots. We work for a lot of landlords here, and those jobs run best when the unit is emptied before we arrive.
