Bellevue sits northeast of Battle Creek, just over the county line into Eaton County, with the Battle Creek River running right through the middle of the village. It is an old industrial and quarrying town rather than a pure farm village. The limestone beds on the west side have been worked for well over a century, and the ruins of the old cement works still stand at the southwest edge. M-78 runs through as Capitol Avenue then turns south onto Main Street in the centre of town. Because Bellevue is in a different county from Battle Creek, local rules can differ, and that is worth checking before you book.

The village core is older frame and brick housing on modest lots with short driveways, a lot of it close to the river. Ground near the water and near the old mill dam sits low and stays damp, which is worth knowing before you plan to set a container on grass. Away from the centre the lots open out into large rural parcels along Butterfield Highway and the Battle Creek Highway, with long gravel drives and outbuildings. The jobs we see most are household and estate clean-outs, roof tear-offs, siding and window replacement, garage demolition and farm building clearance. There is also a fair amount of foundation and basement work in the old village houses, which produces dense loads. Keep concrete and block separate from mixed debris and the whole job goes more smoothly.
Bellevue has an industrial past and it still shows in the work. Old workshops, service buildings and yards get cleared, and those loads run to steel shelving, timber, scrap fittings and general accumulation rather than construction waste. The Main Street and Capitol Avenue blocks bring small storefront refits, usually with front-of-building access only. Along the river we get damp and flood clean-up in basements and outbuildings, which is heavy going because everything holds water. Out along Butterfield Highway and the Battle Creek Highway the jobs are rural: sheds emptied, fence lines cleared and windfall taken off after storms. Autumn is the busiest stretch, when people finally tackle what has sat behind the barn all summer.

North out of Battle Creek on Capital Avenue NE (M-66) then east on M-78, the Battle Creek Highway, about seventeen miles and twenty-five minutes. Main routes in: M-78, the Battle Creek Highway, Capital Avenue NE (M-66) north out of Battle Creek, I-69 exit 48.

It can. Bellevue is a village in Eaton County, not Calhoun, so anything set by the local municipality may differ from what applies in Battle Creek. For a container on your own driveway that rarely matters. For street or right-of-way placement, contact the Village of Bellevue or Bellevue Township directly and confirm what they require before delivery day.
On the firmest, most level surface available, which usually means the driveway rather than the lawn. Ground near the Battle Creek River and the old mill dam holds water, and a loaded container will sink into it and leave you with ruts and a recovery problem. If we look at the site and think grass placement is risky, we will say so rather than take the chance.
Yes, but keep it in its own load rather than mixing it with general debris. Concrete, block, brick and stone are extremely heavy and a box that looks half empty can already be at its weight limit. Tell us in advance that it is a clean heavy load and we will bring the right size, usually a small box, and price it accordingly.
A day or two is ideal. It is about twenty-five minutes from our yard, up M-66 and out M-78, so we fit it into a northbound run rather than dropping in. If you can be flexible about the delivery window we can often get there sooner. Booking the pull-out date at the same time saves you chasing us at the end of the job.
